Reality check. Look in the fucking mirror.

What do you see?

Here, at Survival Uncensored, we like to ask ourselves this question regularly. And 90% of the time, the answer that comes back is, “Baa, baa, baa, baa, baa”. It sucks. But that is the way of our species.

This page is not (mainly) about insulting each other just for a laugh. It’s about the reality check. Seriously, think about this. Are you following the herd, again, even after all the times you thought you had learned to not? How did you get to be like that? Again.

Look in the fucking mirror.

Next time you look at a selfie, think of this image. Whether it’s of you or someone else. Compare the selfie to this image.

Think of this image.

This is a sheep.

If an image you are looking at even is a selfie, taken by the creature in the image, that’s a fair indication that the creature was a sheep. If the image isn’t a selfie—let’s cut the bullshit—it’s probably still of a sheep.

We, as a society, are sheep.

Of course this is a metaphor, but what the metaphor reveals, is real. Nearly all of us are really going to die because of this. Our society and much of the planet we live on is doomed to oblivion because of this. This is not a small issue. This is something worth thinking about.

why do we Keep Going back to the herd?

The usual answer is that it’s lonely outside. The other big answer that it’s just our DNA, it’s the way we have evolved as a species – to look at each other for cues and then follow those cues. But this is clearly failing us now, near the end of everything familiar to us.

While the world is falling apart all around us, all the herd can give us as inspiration is botoxed lips and Taylor Swift tickets. Fuck me dead.

The underlying system that runs our society has entered its final death spiral.

The only hope lies far outside the herd.

What have you got planned for today?

Think about what you’re intending to do today. Tomorrow. For the rest of the week. This month. This year. The next five years. How much of what you’re looking ahead to do relates to your role in the herd? To improving your position in the herd, perhaps? And how much of it is likely to be useful in the future—the real future?

See if you can do just one thing today that will benefit your real future.

Then, sometime, see if you can do some more of these things.
